Kenzie Bought A Cottage! (and Renovated It)

Okay, I admit. I have been MIA for awhile. Strangely, I have written a ton of posts, but fallen behind in actually posting them. Lame. Sorry about that. So long story short, there will be A LOT of posts coming soon to make up for me ghosting my own blog.

However, today, this one is going to cut the queue because I'm just so darn excited to share it with the world!

Last July, I was showing properties to a client and one of them happened to be this little cottage. It was dingy, reeked of smoke and TINY. It wasn't a fit for her investment goals, but it stole my heart away. I wasn't even thinking about buying my next investment property yet but something about this place called to me. After she passed on it, I asked her if she would mind if I put in an offer for myself on it? She quickly said "please do!" And so I did. And the rest is history...

This cottage ended up needing more work than I thought. It was more than cosmetic, but certainly not a full gut. I learned lots about wells, sulfur filters, septic tanks, electrical work, removing decades of smoke, how to fend off wildlife, ladybug infestations, and more. It's been a journey folks. But an oh, so satisfying journey at that!

So today I present you with the "befores" and "afters" of the interior. Hope you love it as much as I do! And more details about the design specifics coming soon! Enjoy!

Love it? I'll be renting it out soon on #Airbnb. And if you are interested in having someone help you design your space, hit me up! I'm looking to do a lot more design work in the future!

Forever Grateful,
